Dealmaker: Natalie Colimon
The Deal: Senior loan officer Natalie Colimon was part of a Lex Mortgage & Financial Group Corp team that secured more than $1.2 million in residential loan for a Residence at Lighthouse Point in Broward County.
Details: A client approached Ms. Colimon and needed to secure financing in a matter of two weeks for a 1.2 Million purchase in Lighthouse Point. Time was of the essence. The sellers had no intention to extend the contract should the deal fell through. Ms. Colimon was able to secure financing within the time requested from ABC American Home Mortgage. The lender provided a $1.08 million senior loan secured by a mortgage. The deal closed on June 22, 2006.
Normally, a deal that size will take at least one month to close. Ms Colimon, who worked diligently on the financing, said the lender didn’t make the borrowers jump through hoops despite a tightening lending market.
In fact, the lenders were accommodating to the borrowers, she said.
It wasn’t scrutinized differently. It wasn’t a hard loan for the lenders to make. It didn’t seem they were going out of their way to set different benchmarks.
The one-story, four bedrooms, three bathrooms has a marina view on a canal leading to the Intercostals Waterway North of Commercial Boulevard.
